Application Process

Whilst we value academic ability, our application process is geared around understanding much more about you than simply grades. The process aims to assess how closely you align with our company culture and team, your ability to breakdown a complex problem and present it clearly and concisely, as well as your ability to answer questions and take on feedback. The majority of this is done by setting you a task which mimics an element of a typical consulting project and puts you in a practical consulting environment.

First Round

  • The first step is an initial interview with one of our consultants. The key objective of this is for us to assess whether you are aligned with our culture and will fit with the team. However, it is also an opportunity for you to find out more about us, what we do and whether you would enjoy working with us.

Second Round

  • We will give you a practical case study to prepare in your own time. This usually takes the form of profiling a complex company and delivering a concise presentation on their operations and structure. The aim of this is to see how you are able to break down a complex situation and how you present it. We will also observe how you respond to our questions which will equally give you an opportunity to understand more about the ethos of our firm.

Third Round

  • For the final stage of assessment you will be required make a follow up presentation on the same company, having implemented the feedback you received and amended your work accordingly. As “on the job” learning is so critical to success within our company, your ability to listen and implement feedback effectively is an attribute all successful candidates must possess.

The end-to-end interview process is time consuming and requires significant effort from candidates. This is deliberate as we feel the best way to assess candidates and test their commitment on an individual basis is to see how they perform over a series of meetings and tasks. The process is designed to be personal and allow both sides to get to know the other and their expectations.

If you have the requisite qualifications and believe that you possess the skills, drive and commitment required for a career with us, please apply initially by sending us a CV and covering letter detailing why you believe you would be a good fit for our organization via e-mail to recruitment@strategicanalytics.eu. You must include your ‘A’ level (or equivalent) grades and university grades by subject.
